A nostalgic afternoon spent at Newton Abbot on “00” gauge.

This DVD is of an “00” gauge layout which shows Newton Abbot in the late 1950s.  You are invited to sit back and enjoy both the sight and sounds of those sadly long gone days when steam was still King and Diesels were only just beginning to have a presence.  Careful research has ensured that all of the classes and numbers of the Locomotives seen were present in the Newton Abbot division during this period, with one exception, The Duke.  If you watch and listen carefully you will both see and hear him entering Newton Abbot from Exeter and running through the station non stop to tackle the Devon banks unassisted.  We hope you enjoy!
