Chairman's end of year Review 2016 What a fantastic year it has been.  Our membership is now up to 296, who contribute over £55,000 per year. It is only just over a year since the Duke moved to Tyseley and the overhaul started. The progress since then has been truly amazing. The stripping down is virtually complete and the first stages of re-assembly will start during January next year. Work has started on the refurbishment of the support...

Following the boiler being removed in April, major work has continued to strip down the locomotive. The boiler has been worked on with the firebox throat plate being removed awaiting the manufacture and fitting of a new one, the superheater header and regulator assembly has also been removed.
