Duke Roster – Q4 2026

North, East, South, West

Thanks to Locomotive Services Limited we now know what The Duke will be doing in the final (Q4) quarter of 2026 and, with a slight stretch of the imagination, our locomotive will cover all points of the compass.

West

Just before Q4 kicks in The Duke is rostered to take The Cornish Riviera 2026 from Taunton to Penzance via Truro in late September (22nd) and return it to Taunton 3 days later.

South

The Duke returns to London to haul The Golden Arrow from West London to Canterbury.

The Duke’s next outing is to The Bluebell Railway’s Giants of Steam Gala which takes place over the 16th to 18th October inclusive. This gives you the opportunity to get close to The Duke when you can admire his wonderful paint job and the wonderfully high standard of the engineering performed at the last overhaul.

North & East

A month later The Duke is off to York (East) and Chester (North) Christmas Markets before a couple of Christmas Lunch excursions – one to the White Cliffs and the other to the Pennine Peaks.

The Duke will finish the year on 19th December hauling 4 (yes 4) Santa Steam Expresses out of London Victoria in one day.

Forward planning for The Duke in 2027 is already underway with visits to heritage railways in the mix. Our Where & When page has more details and links to all the forthcoming Duke runs.
