The superheater header is probably the most significant and complex piece of equipment that has now recently been reinstalled. Here’s a list of the work on this item that has now been completed:
- Old studs removed.
- Removed steam take off extension pieces for renewal and re-tapping of holes.
- Work carried out to fit/bed and lap in regulator valves.
- Rod gland removed for renewal.
- New nuts machined for regulator valve covers.
- New main steam pipe studs manufactured.
- Machined/manufactured new steam take off extension pieces.
- Re-tapped holes in end of regulator housing.
- Manufactured new end cap /bush for regulator rod.
- Machined studs for main steam pipes and regulator valve covers.
- Machined dome nuts for regulator valve covers.
- Cleaned seatings.
