Recent work by our working parties has seen all of the superheater elements pressure tested to 1,000 PSI, and assisting Tyseley with some difficult work on the superheater header. Additionally, external pipework and other components continues to be returned to the loco as we close in on the completion of this massive overhaul.
Member assistance at Wednesday and Saturday working parties is always welcomed; please advise Dave Oliver or Andrew Bailey in advance if you are going to turn up. Security access to the Tyseley site has changed and if you do not have an electronic pass you’ll need Dave or Andrew to get you into the site.
